Ireland trained today at the picturesque North Sydney Oval, home of the famous North Sydney Bears. We spoke to scum half John Cooney after the rain-soaked session about his experience on tour so far.
“It has been a great three weeks so far,” admitted John Cooney, the two-times capped half-back. “I’ve never been to Australia and it’s nice to get to know a few of the lads that I wouldn’t know that well and a chance to catch up with a few of the Connacht boys that I played with.”
