IRFU Roll Out GDPR Workshops For Clubs

The IRFU will run a series of information evenings to help clubs understand their obligations under the new General Data Protection Regulations (GDPR).

The new regulations will help protect the personal data of everyone involved in rugby. The GDPR imposes a direct responsibility on each individual club, and the IRFU will assist all our clubs on how they can best comply with the new legislation.

In conjunction with William Fry Solicitors and FTI Consulting, clubs have been invited to attend one of the following information and training evenings:

Munster –

Monday, April 23, Charleville Park Hotel, 7.30pm

Connacht –

Tuesday, April 24, McWilliam Park Hotel, Claremorris, 7.30pm

Ulster –

Wednesday, April 25, Kingspan Stadium, 6.30pm

Leinster –

Monday, April 30, Red Cow Hotel, 7pm

In advance of each session, the IRFU will provide a toolkit to assist clubs. For further information and assistance, the Data Protection Commissioner has a dedicated site with information for individuals and organisations on the GDPR and a number of resources – http://gdprandyou.ie/.
