Ulster Tee Up Gloucester Pre-Season Tie

Ulster Rugby have confirmed that they will host English Premiership side Gloucester in a pre-season game at Kingspan Stadium on Saturday, August 18 (kick-off 5.30pm).

The fixture will be part of a double header at Kingspan Stadium, as the Ulster ‘A’ team will act as a curtain raiser at 3.15pm. The opposition for the province’s ‘A’ side is still to be confirmed.

The Gloucester coaching ticket, which includes the familiar names of David Humphreys and Jonny Bell along with head coach Johan Ackermann, will be able to call upon former Ulster prop Paddy McAllister among an experienced and talented squad.

For Ulster supporters, it will be a first opportunity to see new signings in action, while South African back rower Marcell Coetzee is also expected to make his return to playing action in pre-season.

The Ulster v Gloucester clash is included in the province’s 2018/19 Season Ticket package. A second pre-season game, which will take place the following week away from home, will be announced in due course.
