Ireland Squad Update Ahead Of England Game

The Ireland squad reassembled at their Maynooth training base late yesterday evening following their 28-8 NatWest 6 Nations Championship win over Scotland.

There are the usual bumps and bruises that occur following a Test match but all 36 players in the current Ireland squad are available for selection this week.

Cian Healy suffered a stinger-like injury to the shoulder/trapezius area during the 28-8 victory over Scotland. He experienced some discomfort on the pitch and received the appropriate treatment. The loosehead prop will train fully this week.

The Ireland team to play England in the final round of the NatWest 6 Nations will be announced on Thursday afternoon before Joe Schmidt’s men, who are destined to finish top of the table, travel to London.
