Average Is Not Acceptable – Andy Farrell On Ireland v Wales

Defence coach Andy Farrell congratulated Warren Gatland on his 100th game in charge of Wales and reflected on where Ireland need to improve for the NatWest 6 Nations match at the Aviva Stadium on Saturday (kick-off 2.15pm).

Speaking about the bonus point win against Italy, which saw Ireland concede three second half tries, Andy Farrell said: “The last quarter wasn’t acceptable because average is not acceptable in this environment. We need to be more ruthless than that, even when the scoreboard is well in our favour.”
