James Cronin Added To Ireland Squad

The Ireland squad departed this morning for a training camp in Oliva Nova in southern Spain and will return to Ireland on Friday.

Dave Kilcoyne picked up a knee injury during yesterday’s Champions Cup win over Castres and is being reviewed by the medical team at Munster. As a result, his provincial colleague James Cronin has been added to the Ireland squad.

Cronin was first capped in 2014 on the summer tour to Argentina and picked up two subsequent caps during the 2015 and 2016 Six Nations tournament.

Meanwhile, Ireland head coach Joe Schmidt and captain Rory Best will attend Wednesday’s NatWest 6 Nations media launch at Syon Park in London.
