‘Pass It Back Cup’ Seeking Girls For Tag Tournament

We are looking for girls aged 14 to 16 to come together to form a number of Tag rugby teams which will participate in a Women’s Rugby World Cup Tag Festival this summer.

The ChildFund ‘Pass It Back’ programme is bringing a group of girls from disadvantaged communities in Vietnam, the Philippines and Laos to take part in the ChildFund Pass It Back Cup on Monday, August 21 at Belfast Harlequins RFC.

The girls will be travelling overseas for the first time and this will be a once in a lifetime opportunity for them. Ulster Rugby is delighted to support this international event as a platform to immerse the girls in the culture of Belfast, but also give them the opportunity to learn more about women’s rugby and the role of females in sport.

There will be a real festival atmosphere on the day with music, a BBQ and of course plenty of Tag rugby matches!

To be a part of this tournament, which is free to attend, for both experienced and novice players as there will be the opportunity to attend a number of training sessions in advance of the cup competition, simply email your name/your daughter’s name and details to Neal.Johnston@Ulsterrugby.com

Places are limited so please get in touch early to avoid disappointment. Deadline for registrations is 9am on Monday, July 31.

For more information, please email Neal Johnston (07767115764) or Jen Boyd (07787791496). For more information on ChildFund’s ‘Pass it Back’ programme, click here.
