Ireland have named a squad that includes five uncapped players for Saturday’s match against the USA at Red Bull Arena in New Jersey. We hear from head coach Joe Schmidt on team selection and the challenge ahead.
Speaking about the team selected to face the Eagles, Joe Schmidt said: “I’m sure people at home are excited to see the new blood that we’re trying to bring in and build the base.
“The whole tour is about long term investment and short term success. The long term investment is the team selection, now we have got to get the short term success with some performances from that.”
