Irish Rugby TV: Ireland 2023 Bid Submission A ‘Momentous Day’

Thursday, June 1 was a ‘momentous day’ for Irish Rugby as Ireland’s bid to host the 2023 Rugby World Cup was submitted to World Rugby. Take a look at the events from the day in our highlights video.

Ireland great and Bid Ambassador Brian O’Driscoll, ‘Bid Kid’ Alex Place and Dick Spring, Chairman of the Bid Oversight Board, brought the Irish bid submission to World Rugby headquarters in Dublin yesterday on the bid bus.

They were accompanied by hundreds of children, who waved the flags of every rugby-playing nation, and current Irish rugby stars, including Ireland Women’s captain Niamh Briggs, Ireland summer tour captain Rhys Ruddock and Cian Healy.
