Irish Rugby TV: Rhys Ruddock To Captain Ireland

Rhys Ruddock will captain Ireland on the summer tour to the USA and Japan. We spoke to him at a reception for the squad hosted by the Japanese Ambassador to Ireland, Mari Miyoshi, at her residence in Dublin on Tuesday.

The Ireland squad were treated to a taste of Japan that included language lessons, cultural information and of course, the wonderful cuisine.

Rhys Ruddock, the 105th player to captain Ireland at senior international level, spoke about the evening, the excitement building in the squad ahead of the tour and his experience of playing in Japan when he captained the Ireland Under-20s in 2009.
