Ulster Announce Pre-Season Friendly Against Wasps

Ulster have confirmed that they will host English side Wasps in a pre-season game at Kingspan Stadium on Thursday, August 17 (kick-off 7.30pm).
  

Wasps finished top of this season’s Aviva Premiership and will be involved in the final on Saturday. With a star-studded squad that includes British & Irish Lions Elliott Daly and James Haskell, Premiership Player of the Year Jimmy Gopperth and Six Nations Player of the Year Joe Launchbury, it promises to be stern test for Les Kiss’ squad.

Wasps boss Dai Young can also call on the likes of England players Danny Cipriani and Christian Wade, as well as overseas stars such as Springbok Willie le Roux.

Meanwhile, the fixture will provide supporters with the opportunity to see new signings such as John Cooney and Schalk van der Merwe in an Ulster jersey for the first time.

This fixture is included in the 2017/18 Ulster Rugby Season Ticket package. A second pre-season match, which will take place the following week away from home, will be announced in due course.
