Trimble And Dillane To Miss Rest Of Six Nations

The Ireland squad assembled at Carton House on Saturday evening following the completion of the round 17 fixtures in the GUINNESS PRO12.

Andrew Trimble sustained a hand injury against Benetton Treviso at Kingspan Stadium on Friday night and has been ruled out of the final two rounds of the RBS 6 Nations Championship.

Ultan Dillane will undergo surgery this week for an ongoing shoulder issue. He will be ruled out of action for eight to ten weeks.

Meanwhile, Rob Kearney is progressing well through his rehab of a groin injury and is expected to train fully on Monday. Trimble’s Ulster colleague Tommy Bowe has been added to the Ireland squad.
