Tierney And Briggs Looking Forward To #WRWC2017

The fixtures have been announced and the tickets are on sale for the pool stages of the Women’s Rugby World Cup in Ireland this year. We spoke to Tom Tierney and Niamh Briggs as they look forward to a huge year for rugby in Ireland.

‘We’ve been building to this for two years but there’s still plenty to be done in the Six Nations’, says Ireland Women’s head coach Tom Tierney.

‘The Irish public have always really supported us. The November Series was great and the fans who came to that really enjoyed the experience’, said Ireland captain Niamh Briggs.

The pool fixtures were announced on Sunday with reigning champions England opening the tournament against Spain, while hosts Ireland get Pool C underway when they welcome Australia to the UCD Bowl at 7pm on August 9.

Tickets for the pool stages and finals are on sale now from www.ticketmaster.ie/wrwc2017 and www.ticketmaster.co.uk/wrwc2017.
