Inside Pass – Episode 5

The December edition of ‘Inside Pass’ – presented by Louise Galvin – features a look back at 2016 and an exclusive interview with IRFU Performance Director David Nucifora about Ireland’s Sevens programme and player development.

We take a look back at Ireland’s wins over South Africa, New Zealand and Australia, the new caps, some of the try-scoring highlights from 2016, and Megan Williams gives her take on how the Ireland Women’s Sevens team fared in Dubai recently.

Tom Daly, Rory O’Loughlin and Barry Daly – three players who have impressed in the Leinster back-line of late – also talk about how playing Sevens rugby has helped them to progress at provincial level in the 15-a-side game, and we catch up with IRFU High Performance Manager Colin McEntee and the four provincial Academy managers to chat about ‘the four cornerstones of skill development’.
