Buckley Returns, But Connacht Lose Fox-Matamua To Injury

Ahead of next Saturday’s GUINNESS PRO12 game away to Zebre, the Connacht medical team have provided the following update.

Danie Poolman sustained a concussion during the 32-11 loss to the Ospreys and will follow the graduated return-to-play protocols under the supervision of the province’s medical team.

Denis Buckley returned to training with the squad this week following his injury against Glasgow, however Nepia Fox-Matamua sustained a hamstring injury against Glasgow and will be out of action until November. 

In addition, recent recruit and Ireland Sevens international Josh Rowland has undergone surgery for an ongoing ankle injury and will be unavailable for four to six weeks.
