IRFU Referees’ Weekend Appointments

The GUINNESS PRO12 season kicks off again this weekend and there are also a number of interprovincial representative games across the country where IRFU referees will be in action.

In the GUINNESS PRO12 tonight, Andrew Brace will be the man in the middle at the Liberty Stadium when the Ospreys welcome Zebre. Stuart Gaffikin will be one of the assistant referees and Simon McDowell will act as TMO.
 
In Kingspan Stadium, Ulster face the Newport Gwent Dragons and Helen O’Reilly will be one of the assistant referees. Joy Neville will be an assistant referee at the RDS when Leinster face Benetton Treviso.
 
At provincial level, Sean Gallagher will referee the Combined Development & Under-20 game between Ulster and Leinster in Shaw’s Bridge. Jonathan Peak and Peter Martin will be the assistant referees.
 
On Saturday, John Lacey will referee the PRO12 meeting of Cardiff Blues and Edinburgh at BT Sport Cardiff Arms Park. Stuart Gaffikin and Simon McDowell will be back in action for the second day in a row as assistant referee and TMO respectively.
 
At the Sportsground, Eddie Hogan O’Connell will be  an assistant referee for the clash of reigning PRO12 champions Connacht and Glasgow Warriors. John Sheehan will be TMO, with Karol Collins as the fourth official.
 
There are a number of interprovincial representative games on Saturday, with Leinster Under-18s facing Connacht Under-18s at Donnybrook. David Horner will referee this game. At Hatrick Park, Ulster U-18s will play Munster U-18s and Jason Cairns will be referee.
 
At Thomond Park, Tim Townsend will officiate Munster U-19s versus Connacht U-19s. Robert O’Sullivan will referee the game between Ulster U-19s and Leinster U-19s in RBAI.
 
Joy Neville will referee the U-18 provincial Schools match between Leinster U-18 Schools and Ulster U-18 Schools.
