The course instructors are all experts in pre hospital emergency care and will joined by a variety of senior medical colleagues to cover topics such as Assessing the injured player, head and spinal injuries and concussion.

Michael Webb, Ulster Team Doctor and medical lead on the Belfast course commented:  “It is very important that all medical professionals who provide pitchside care keep up to date with the skills needed to perform the initial assessment and management of a wide range of injuries that can occur on the field”

The IRFU also encourages all coaches to attend a Level 1 SAFE Rugby Course.

Safe Rugby Level 2 and Level 1 course are available throughout the season in each province and we are currently looking to book these course in all areas of the country.
