Adeolokun Chosen As Connacht’s Player Of The Month

Connacht winger Niyi Adeolokun has been named the province’s Player of the Month for April in association with Hartmanns Jewellers and Seiko Watches.

In just his second season at Connacht and indeed in a professional environment, Niyi Adeolokun has become a regular starter in Pat Lam’s side, starting 15 of the 17 games he has appeared in this campaign.

Last month the Nigerian-born winger (25), who joined Connacht in 2014 from Ulster Bank League club Dublin University, started all four games and crossed for a brace of tries against both Grenoble and Munster.

Commenting on the April Player of the Month award winner, Connacht’s team manager Tim Allnutt said: “It’s great to see Niyi picking up his first Player of the Month award. He’s put in a huge amount of work since he joined us and it’s phenomenal to see the improvements he’s made as he transitioned to a professional and highly demanding environment.

“He was a pivotal player in our back-line last month and continues to be as we look to finish the season on a massive high.”

Richard Hartmann, Director of Hartmann Jewellers, added: “We were delighted to have Niyi in this week picking out his new Seiko watch. He’s been one of the players to watch this season in a very exciting Connacht back-line and has really become a fan favourite.”

Hartmanns of Galway are the leading store in the west of Ireland stocking a huge array of the world’s top watch and Jewellery brands. They have been long-time supporters of Connacht Rugby.
