Spring, Beaumont And DCC Backing #WRWC2017

Incoming World Rugby Chairman Bill Beaumont, Dick Spring, the Chairman of Ireland’s 2023 Rugby World Cup bid, and Jim Beggan of Dublin City Council were at the launch of the Women’s Rugby World Cup logo in UCD last week to show their support for Ireland 2017.

The day after being elected the new Chairman of World Rugby, former England Grand Slam captain Bill Beaumont was at UCD for the launch of #BringIt and the Women’s Rugby World Cup logo.

He spoke about Ireland being well placed to host such an exciting tournament and his commitment to the values of the game:

 

Dick Spring, Chaiman of Ireland’s bid for Rugby World Cup 2023, was also at the launch and he affirmed his belief that Ireland will host a wonderful tournament. He also spoke about the importance of Ireland 2017 to the formal bid for 2023:

 

Dublin City Council are backing #WRWC2017 and Jim Beggan was on hand to discuss the importance of the city hosting the pool stages.

He also spoke about the impact it can have on promoting sport in Dublin and in particular in encouraging more young women to get involved in sport:
