Spence, McLaughlin And Naoupu Relishing #WRWC2017

We spoke to Ireland players Sophie Spence, Claire McLaughlin and dual player Sene Naoupu at the launch of the Women’s Rugby World Cup 2017 logo last week. All three are relishing the prospect of Ireland hosting the tournament next year.

Speaking at the launch, Sophie Spence stressed the importance of developing players, and the matches against England, Canada and New Zealand in November this year, on the road to #WRWC2017.

Ulster’s Claire McLaughlin got her first cap during the Women’s Six Nations this year and is concentrating for now on cementing her place in the squad while looking forward to what promises to be an amazing final at Kingspan Stadium in August 2017.

Balancing 7s and XVs is a challenge that Sene Naoupu is thoroughly enjoying. The dual star is looking forward to the Olympics Sevens Repechage tournament in Dublin in June before turning her mind to next year’s Women’s Rugby World Cup.
