Ulster Bank League Promotion Play-Offs Kick Off This Weekend

The Ulster Bank League promotion and relegation play-offs get underway this weekend as teams look to secure their divisional status ahead of the 2016/17 season.

Skerries host Greystones, who finished fourth in Division 2B, as the north county Dublin club look to take the first step in maintaining their Division 2A status.

On the other side of the draw Sunday’s Well travel to City of Derry – the other two teams from Division 2B seeking promotion.

The ‘Well lost to Derry (18-23) at Irish Independent Park back in September but got the better of the Ulstermen in the more recent meeting between the two teams at Judge’s Road in March which they won 11-8

Rainey Old Boys take on Wanderers, the fourth-placed team in Division 2C, as they seek to retain their place in Division 2B. Tullamore host Bruff in the other Division 2B/2C promotion play-off fixture.

Bruff have gotten the better of Tullamore twice in the regular season, winning 22-15 at Kilballyowen Park at the start of the season and 9-8 in the return fixture as Spollanstown in mid-March.

The Division 2A/2B and 2B/2C play-off finals will take place on Saturday week (April 23).
