Connacht Issue Injury Update Ahead Of Munster Match

Ahead of the GUINNESS PRO12 round 20 game at home to Munster on Saturday night, the Connacht Rugby medical team have provided the following update.

Danie Poolman injured his foot during last Saturday’s European Challenge Cup clash with Grenoble. The westerners’ medical team are currently awaiting the results of a scan to determine the extent of the damage. The 27-year-old is ruled out for this weekend’s derby match against Munster.

Fellow backs Rory Parata and Jack Carty have both returned to full training this week and are available to the coaching team for selection.

Meanwhile, Jake Heenan sprained his other ankle during a training session last week. The 24-year-old back rower has now been ruled out of action for three to four weeks.

Tiernan O’Halloran (quad) and AJ MacGinty (shoulder) continue with their rehab but it is hoped that they will be available for selection in the coming weeks.
