Connacht Monitor Players Ahead Of Edinburgh Trip

Ahead of the GUINNESS PRO12 round 17 game away to Edinburgh on Friday night, the Connacht Rugby medical team have provided the following update.

Caolin Blade, Niyi Adeolokun and Ben Marshall are undergoing the return-to-play protocols for concussions sustained during the win over the Ospreys last Saturday. All three players will be monitored ahead of team selection this week.

John Muldoon was withdrawn as a precaution before kick-off due to hamstring tightness picked up in training last Thursday. The Connacht captain is due to return to training this week with a view to be being available for the Edinburgh match.

Second row Quinn Roux has returned to full training and is available for selection this week having recovered from the ankle injury picked up in early December.

Galway-born back rower Eoin McKeon is also available to the coaching team for this week after he missed out last weekend with a minor ankle sprain.

Eoghan Masterson had successful surgery on his knee at the weekend. The 22-year-old will work towards the end of the calendar year for a return to match fitness.
