Ronaldson Voted Connacht’s Player Of The Month

With over 50% of the votes, versatile back Craig Ronaldson has been named the Connacht Player of the Month for November, in association with Hartmanns of Galway and Seiko Watches.

Craig Ronaldson is one of only three Connacht players to have featured in every game this season (along with Bundee Aki and Finlay Bealham) and was the man-of-the-match in the month’s opening win over Benetton Treviso.

The Kildare man, who joined Connacht from Ulster Bank League club Lansdowne at the start of the 2013/14 season, has switched between out-half and inside centre.

It was in the number 12 jersey that he started for the two GUINNESS PRO12 games last month against Treviso and Munster. He was on kicking duties on both occasions and accumulated a total of 26 points.

Commenting on the 25-year-old’s Player of the Month award win, Connacht team manager Tim Allnutt said: “Craig has been a solid player for us again this season. His versatility in the back-line and place-kicking abilities offer the coaches even more options.

“He put in some great performances last month. He’s an extremely hard working individual and I’m delighted that he is being recognised with this award.”

Richard Hartmann, director of Hartmann Jewellers, added: “Everyone at Hartmanns would like to congratulate Craig on his first Player of the Month award. November was another fantastic month for Connacht supporters with the win over Munster undoubtedly the highlight. Craig has been a mainstay in the team all season and has really established himself in an already competitive back-line.”

Hartmanns of Galway are the leading store in the west of Ireland stocking a huge array of the world’s top watch and Jewellery brands. They have been long-time supporters of Connacht Rugby.
