The opening round of European Champions Cup and Challenge Cup action saw Connacht pocket five points from their Siberian adventure, Munster did likewise at home to Benetton Treviso, while Ulster’s clash with Oyonnax was postponed due to the Paris terror attacks and Leinster lost heavily to Wasps at the RDS.
