Munster Sign Amorosino And Doyle On Short-Term Deals

Munster Rugby have recruited the services of full-back Lucas Gonzalez Amorosino and flanker Sean Doyle on short-term contracts.

Argentinian international Lucas Gonzalez Amorosino and the Australian-born Sean Doyle have both signed three-month contracts with the province.

Amorosino, who is currently involved in the Pumas’ Rugby World Cup campaign, will start in the number 15 jersey in Friday night’s bronze final against South Africa.

The full-back has just completed a season with Cardiff Blues where he made 12 appearances for the Welsh outfit. Prior to that, he played for Top 14 sides Oyonnax and Montpellier, and Aviva Premiership team Leicester Tigers.

A former Argentinian Sevens player, the speedster is also comfortable playing on the wing. The 29-year-old has played 47 times for Argentina, scoring six tries.

Back rower Doyle (pictured above) arrived on Tuesday and trained with the Munster squad yesterday in Cork. The 26-year-old joins from Super Rugby outfit the Brumbies and previously played for Ulster, making 24 appearances for the province.
