Commenting on today’s session, Ulster’s own Tommy Bowe said: “It’s great to come up to Belfast. The Irish boys really appreciate coming to the different provinces, like Galway a couple of weeks ago.

“To see 5,000 supporters here today shows how much it means to the people of Belfast for us to come up and train. But also for the players to see such a crowd and have such a buzz around the training session, it’s very positive for us as an Irish team.

“The Ulster Academy boys (who went against us in training) really put it up to us! They did really well today and it’s bright for the future of Ulster Rugby.”
