Skerries (7th) v Bective Rangers (10th), Holmpatrick, Friday, November 7, 8pm

Hosts Skerries head into round 5 buoyed by a big win over Naas on the road in which they scored 41 unanswered points.

Bective travel on the back of a loss at home to NUIM Barnhall. Holmpatrick on a Friday night is always worth a visit and there should be a cracking atmosphere.

Seapoint (15th) v Thomond (3rd), Kilbogget Park, 2pm

Seapoint were beaten by a Dungannon side desperate for a win last weekend and it gets tougher still as third-placed Thomond pay them a visit.

The Limerick side travel on the back of a big win over City of Derry and are just three points behind leaders Old Wesley. You would have to favour an away victory and valuable league points on the road.

Blackrock College (5th) v Naas (8th), Stradbrook

Blackrock College dropped to fifth place after last weekend’s 3-all draw with Banbridge, while Naas fell to eighth due to their big loss to Skerries.

Still, it is early days in the season and the home side will hope to bounce back at Stradbrook on Saturday.
Naas will be aiming to make amends as well so there is plenty at stake.

Cashel (11th) v Nenagh Ormond (6th), Spafield

Match of the day in Division 2A is this Tipperary derby between Cashel and Nenagh Ormond.

It promises to be a huge day at the club and with the Ireland game in the clubhouse afterwards there should be a huge crowd for this much-anticipated encounter.

There are only three points between them and with seasonal bragging rights at stake…

City of Derry (16th) v Banbridge (9th), Judge’s Road

It has been a tough start to the season for City of Derry with four losses in four games. And yet they have managed a try-scoring bonus point and three losing bonus points.

A win will come at some point and it could be at Judge’s Road on Saturday. It will not be easy though as Banbridge travel for the Ulster derby on the back of a low-scoring draw with Blackrock last weekend.

NUIM Barnhall (2nd) v Rainey Old Boys (13th), Parsonstown

Hosts NUIM Barnhall kept up their winning ways last weekend with a good victory over Bective at Donnybrook.

This Saturday they entertain Rainey Old Boys who lost to another Donnybrook side, Old Wesley, last weekend. A home win has to be on the cards.

Old Wesley (1st) v Queen’s University (4th), Donnybrook

A big match at Donnybrook as the unbeaten league leaders host fourth-placed Queen’s University, who trail them by just five points.

Four games and four wins with two bonus points mean that Wesley are flying and the new 4G pitch is helping their style.

A dry track and clean surface may also suit visitors Queen’s so expect tries in this game.

UCC (12th) v Dungannon (14th), the Mardyke

The college side picked up a losing bonus point on the road last weekend but a win on Saturday would kick them back into gear.

Dungannon have found their fighting spirit and last weekend they put Seapoint to the sword, winning 35-6. Can the Ulster side keep their dander up this weekend?
