Ireland Squad Update

The Ireland squad are in camp at Carton House this week as they prepare for the GUINNESS Series opener against South Africa. There are a number of players carrying injuries in the build up to the sold-out game.

On the propping front, James Cronin has not joined up with the national squad as he awaits specialist feedback on an ankle injury sustained last weekend.

Jack McGrath took part in training yesterday and showed no ill-effects, while tighthead Mike Ross continues to improve and it is hoped that he will train fully next week.

Gordon D’Arcy has been assessed and will be managed over the coming days, while his Leinster colleague Rob Kearney continues to rehab well and is expected to train fully this week.

Ulster duo Tommy Bowe and Stuart Olding will be managed through return-to-play protocols following concussive injuries sustained last weekend.

The Ireland squad will train at the Aviva Stadium this Friday with 5,000 free tickets distributed to lucky supporters.

Tickets for Ireland’s games against South Africa and Australia are sold out, but there are still tickets available for the November 16 clash with Georgia.
