Sun Shines On Aviva Mini Rugby Festival

The autumn sun shone brightly on Ashbourne RFC last Saturday for the first Aviva Mini Rugby festival of the season.

Twenty five clubs and schools from all over Ireland made the trip and enjoyed a fun packed morning of rugby skills and the chance to meet Leinster and Ireland winger Dave Kearney.

The young players showed great skills and application throughout the busy morning, while their coaches and parents showed the commitment that is vital to the development of young players.

A huge thank you must go to Ashbourne RFC for their assistance in running the day. The facilities in the club were, as ever, top class – they even had the first pitch ready afterwards for a league clash with Monkstown.
