After receiving a number of queries in recent weeks, the IRFU today advises all fans, club members and officials intending to travel to the 2015 Rugby World Cup that they must create an account directly with Rugby World Cup 2015 to participate in the public ticket sale which takes place from September 12 to 29, 2014.
Rugby World Cup 2015 tickets will not be available from clubs or the IRFU.
To be in with a chance to get a ticket or tickets, you must apply through the Rugby World Cup website – tickets.rugbyworldcup.com.
This requires setting up an account and listing the games you wish to attend. If matches are oversubscribed (i.e. more people apply to attend than there are tickets available) the game will go to a ballot.
Up to one million tickets will go on general sale via an application window which opens this Friday (September 12) and closes on September 29, 2014. Tickets for all of the 48 matches will go on sale and fans can apply for up to four tickets for each match.
