Connacht Gear Up For Final Home Game

It is back to RaboDirect PRO12 action for Connacht this week as they welcome Cardiff Blues to Galway for their final home game of the season.

Following a week’s break from league duty, Pat Lam’s men are looking forward to taking on the Welsh side who sit just three points ahead of them in eighth place in the league table.

In terms of squad availability, young hooker David Heffernan has returned to training after missing the derby defeat to Munster with a hamstring injury.

The 23-year-old, who recently signed a contract extension with the westerners, will be available for selection this week.

Backs Fionn Carr and Craig Ronaldson have also resumed full training and are available to the coaches ahead of the team announcement on Friday.

Meanwhile, Nathan White (calf), Tiernan O’Halloran (quad) and Paul O’Donohoe (back) remain unavailable.

Tickets for Saturday’s round 21 clash with Cardiff are available from tickets.ie, the Connacht Rugby office and selected Centra and SuperValu stores province-wide.
