UCD’s Boyle Honoured As Rising Star For March

UCD back-three specialist Andrew Boyle has been named as the Ulster Bank League Division 1A Rising Star of the Month for March.

The March award success also sees Andrew Boyle shortlisted for the overall Ulster Bank Rising Star of the Year honour at the Ulster Bank League Awards – the ceremony takes place next Thursday in Dublin.

The 22-year-old full-back/winger has been an influential force for UCD as they have enjoyed a fantastic season on their return to the top flight of the Ulster Bank League.

Boyle is also part of the Leinster Academy and as well as playing a vital role in the province’s British & Irish Cup campaign.

The former Clonkeen College student has chipped in with eight tries for his club in Division 1A so far this season.

This is the third Ulster Bank League Rising Star of the Month award for 2014, with Old Belvedere number 8 Jack Conan and Clontarf out-half David Joyce awarded the honours in January and February respectively.

There will be one more award presented to another rising star of the Ulster Bank League this season.

Now in its fourth year as Official Community Partner to the IRFU, Ulster Bank continues to show their dedication to grassroots rugby through their sponsorship of the Ulster Bank League, the introduction of the Ulster Bank League Awards and the return of their successful club initiative, Ulster Bank RugbyForce.
