St. Rose’s Host West Belfast Lep Rugby Blitz

Over 50 girls from Years 9 and 10 at St. Rose’s Dominican College, St. Louise’s Comprehenseive College and St. Genevieve’s High School attended a Leprechaun Rugby Blitz in west Belfast on Monday.

St. Rose’s hosted the event and supplied two teams, with St. Louise’s sending two sides to their first ever blitz and St. Genevieve’s also sending a team.

All participants thoroughly enjoyed the rugby and associated fun and are looking forward to future events.

The schools had previously enjoyed coaching blocks from Ulster Rugby’s West Belfast community rugby coach Roy Lawton.

The coaching input from Ulster Rugby has been made possible due to the generous support of the NI Executive and the Department of Culture, Arts and Leisure through the ‘Promoting Equality, Tackling Poverty and Social Exclusion through Sport’ programme.
