Women’s All-Ireland Cup Reaches Quarter-Final Stage

The Women’s All-Ireland Cup hits the quarter-final stage this weekend with cup holders Highfield away to St. Mary’s on Sunday afternoon.

With the Ireland Women’s team in action this weekend, some of the sides may be missing their star players but it could make for some interesting match-ups.

Highfield skipper Heather O’Brien has made the Ireland number 8 jersey her own this season, but the cup holders will be gunning to defend their title when they travel to play St. Mary’s at Templeville Road.

Former winners UL Bohemians have struggled to come to terms with losing some key players this season and finished fourth in the league. They are at home to relative newcomers Railway Union.

League table toppers Old Belvedere must be one of the favourites this year as they travel to Portlaoise.

Women’s All-Ireland Cup Quarter-Finals:

Blackrock v Galwegians
St. Mary’s v Highfield
UL Bohemians v Railway Union
Portlaoise v Old Belvedere

Shield Play-Offs:

Queen’s v Edenderry
Fermoy v Carlow

Plate Play-Off:

Enniskillen v Cooke
