Sheridan Sidelined For Three Months

Munster scrum half Cathal Sheridan underwent surgery yesterday evening after breaking a bone in his right forearm during last Sunday’s RaboDirect PRO12 victory over the Ospreys.

After further examination yesterday morning, it was revealed that Cathal Sheridan sustained a broken bone and he required surgery yesterday evening.

The 25-year-old scrum half is expected to be ruled out for approximately three to four months, effectively ending his season.

Sheridan, who hails from Sligo, was making his 15th appearance of the current campaign for Munster when he damaged his right forearm.

A Munster Academy graduate and former Ireland Club International, last month saw him put pen to paper on a new two-year contract with Munster.
