Leinster ‘A’ Team Named For Moseley Match

The Leinster ‘A’ team face Moseley RFC in the British & Irish Cup in Donnybrook stadium on Friday evening (KO 6pm) has been announced.

Leinster ‘A’ will be looking to make it five wins out of five in the competition when they take on the Birmingham-based Moseley side who are coached by former Ulster and Ireland centre Kevin Maggs.

Girvan Dempsey’s men have claimed 19 points out of a possible 20 so far in the British & Irish Cup and need just one more point to guarantee qualification to the quarter-finals.

In the previous round of matches Leinster ‘A’ recorded a convincing 31-0 bonus point win over Welsh club Cross Keys, with tries coming from Darragh Fanning (2), Bryan Byrne and Jordan Coghlan.

Moseley pushed Leinster ‘A’ close as a Fanning try 10 minutes from the end of the game, followed by a Cathal Marsh conversion, gave the province a 24-22 victory in Billesley Common back in October.

Entry to Friday’s game costs 10 euro for adults and 5 euro for children/students. Admission for Leinster Season Ticket holders is free.

LEINSTER ‘A’ (v Moseley): Darren Hudson; Sam Coghlan Murray, Collie O’Shea, Jordan Coghlan, Darragh Fanning; Cathal Marsh, Luke McGrath (capt); Ed Byrne, Bryan Byrne, Tadhg Furlong, Ben Marshall, Quinn Roux, Jack Conan, Josh van der Flier, Leo Auva’a.

Replacements: Cian Culleton, Peter Dooley, Ross Molony, Gareth Austen, John Cooney, Ross Byrne, Andrew Boyle.
