Ulster’s Olding Ruled Out For Rest Of Season

Versatile Ulster back Stuart Olding, who was capped by Ireland during their summer tour of North America, has been ruled out for the rest of the 2013/14 season.

Stuart Olding sustained an injury to his right knee while playing for the Ulster Ravens in last Friday night’s win over Connacht Eagles at Deramore Park.

A scan today revealed that he has suffered a ruptured anterior cruciate ligament and will require surgery. He will therefore be out for the rest of this season.

The 20-year-old played at centre and full-back for Ulster during the current campaign, and featured at out-half for the Ravens in their 35-10 victory over the Eagles. He converted all five of their tries on the night.
