Dates Confirmed For Women’s Interprovincial Series

Munster Women will begin the defence of their Interprovincial title with a trip to The Sportsground on on November 30th.

The 2013/14 Interprovincial fixtures were confirmed this week with the news that Thomond Park, Ravenhill and The Sportsground will all feature on the list.

Munster, who edged out Leinster on an exciting final day last season, will be hoping that the recent dip in form of UL Bohemians won’t translate at provincial level.

The Limerick club have been all conquering down the seasons and provided many players for both Munster and Ireland. This season, however they are 4th in the table having lost three games.

Leinster should be boosted by the performances of Old Belvedere and Blackrock who have both been in fine form this season.

Both Leinster and Munster will play warm up games against an Exiles selection that could feature some of Ireland’s Grand Slam winners including Larissa Muldoon, Lynne Cantwell and Claire Molloy.

Leinster face the Exiles on November 22nd under lights at the home of the Ireland Women’s team in Ashbourne RFC.

The Exiles then travel to Portlaoise to play Munster on the 24th.

The action in the interprovincial series kicks off in Ravenhill on November 30th with Ulster hosting Leinster.
