Jesuit Schools Support McVerry Cup

The five Jesuit rugby schools – Belvedere, Clongowes, Gonzaga, Crescent and Coláiste Iognáid – will participate in the first ever Peter McVerry Cup on Saturday to raise funds for and awareness of the plight of the homeless in Ireland.

Second years from the five schools will participate in the tournament in Belvedere’s Navan Road grounds on Saturday from 11.30am to 3.30pm.

Fr. Peter McVerry S.J. will present the trophy to the winning school on the day.

Peter McVerry Trust is a charity set up by Fr Peter McVerry to reduce homelessness and the harm caused by drug misuse and social disadvantage.
