Audi Athlone Continue To Back Buccaneers

Buccaneers RFC received a welcome recent boost ahead of the new Ulster Bank League season with the news that Audi Athlone are continuing as title sponsors of the club.

Audi Athlone and Buccaneers RFC have much in common, both striving for performance and distinction, with style and power key elements to their combined ambitions.

 

Buccaneers, who play at Dubarry Park, Athlone, compete in Division 1B of the Ulster Bank League which begins this Saturday.

Their young squad will be bidding to build on the progress made in recent seasons as they aim for promotion to the top flight this term.

Their youth and exuberance should ensure that their spirited play will be innovative and stylish, qualities associated with Audi.

 

Michael Moore Jnr of Audi Athlone commented: “We are delighted to continue their alliance with such a progressive club as Buccaneers whose ethos complements the Audi values of Vorsprung durch Technik.

“Audi Athlone look forward to again working with the club and we wish Buccs a very successful season.”

Michael Moore Car Sales Ltd. employ close on 50 people and is currently expanding their Athlone premises where they will be opening their new flagship Audi outlet before the end of the year.

 

Buccaneers President Frank Sheeran stated: “The club is absolutely delighted that Audi Athlone are again our title sponsors for the coming season. Audi is a superb and distinctive brand whose goals Buccs would be hoping to emulate.

“Buccaneers field 16 teams including a Women’s side competing for the first time in the All-Ireland League.

“Clubs simply cannot operate without financial back-up. Thus the generous support of Audi Athlone is appreciated all the more in these challenging financial times.”

 

Club captain Alex Hayman was also grateful for the continued support of Buccs by Audi Athlone. He assured those present at the launch that the players and coaching staff were working diligently as the countdown to the opening match gathered pace. He hopes there will be plenty to cheer about throughout the season.
