Sales of the new Connacht home and away jerseys for the 2013/14 season have been high province-wide since the launch on Friday. Gavin Duffy, Robbie Henshaw and David McSharry also paid a visit to Elverys Sports in Galway Retail Park to meet supporters on Saturday.
Crowds of children turned up with their parents in tow to meet the Connacht squad members Gavin Duffy, Robbie Henshaw and David McSharry on Saturday. The trio signed posters and new jerseys and posed for photographs with supporters of all ages.
A special Q&A followed where the players’ memories were put to the test with questions such as, ‘what was your favourite ever game for Connacht’, and, ‘how many rugby games have you played in your whole life?’
When asked how much time he spent practicing rugby when he was a child, club captain Duffy explained how it was important to play as many sports as possible when growing up and spoke about his love of Gaelic football as well as rugby.
