All Roads Lead To Donegal For Ulster’s Team Bonding Task

When the Ulster squad turned up for training on Tuesday morning, they had expected to be jumping on a bus and heading to their mini training camp in Donegal.

However, the province’s head coach Mark Anscombe had a surprise in store. Instead of the bus, the players were tasked with making their own way to Donegal – by almost any means possible.

They were not allowed to travel in the own car and they also had to complete a series of tasks along the way.

The tasks included calling in at a local Bank of Ireland, being pictured with a Mazda car, buying clothes from House of Fraser, traveling on an Ulster Bus and taking on the job of an employee in a Hastings Hotel.

The players were split into teams of six. The day was designed as a team bonding exercise as Anscombe explains here to URTV.

A huge number of photographs were posted on Twitter using the hashtags #fleefly and #suftumnation.

Points for the number of tasks completed as well as originality and creativity will be tallied up and the winning team will be announced to the squad on Wednesday evening.

Ulster are holding open training sessions at Donegal Town RFC today (Wednesday, July 31) (10.30am-12pm) and Strabane RFC on Thursday (August 1) (11am-12.30pm).
