IRFU Beach Tag Gets Underway At Strandhill

Tag teams from all over Ireland will take to the shores as the Beach Tag season gets going this Saturday

With beach events at Strandhill, Portstewart and Curracloe, IRFU Volkswagen Tag will return to the coast again bringing along all the sights and sounds that have made this form of tag rugby so popular.

Beach tag is played by 5 players in a mixed team, as opposed to 7 in regular tag with a minimum of two female players on-field at all time. The entire competition takes place in one day, and runs from around midday until later afternoon, depending on the tides that day.

To sign up a team only costs between €;175 and €;190, value which cannot be beaten anywhere else.

Places are limited and subject to availability so to ensure your team’s place, register here on www.irfutag.ie. Deadline for Strandhill is this Wednesday 12th June at 4pm. Don’t miss out!
