Ireland centre Brian O’Driscoll has been cited by the independent citing commissioner following Saturday’s RBS 6 Nations against Italy at the Stadio Olimpico.

Brian O’Driscoll was cited for ‘allegedly stamping or trampling on an opponent’, contrary to law 10.4 (b), in the RBS 6 Nations match between Italy and Ireland in Rome on Saturday afternoon.

The date of the disciplinary hearing has been confirmed for Wednesday, March 20, mid-morning, in London.

The chair of the independent Six Nations disciplinary committee will be Robert Williams (Wales), who will be assisted by Mike Hamlin and John Doubleday (both England).
