Ulster Prepare For Top Of The Table Clash

An extended Ulster squad has been named ahead of Friday’s top of the table RaboDirect PRO12 showdown with the Scarlets at Ravenhill (kick-off 7.05pm).

Dan Tuohy could feature against the Welsh side after he resumed training earlier this week. The second row suffered a torn calf muscle in the recent loss to Northampton Saints but has responded well to treatment.

Development hooker Niall Annett, who made a significant impact off the bench during last Saturday’s derby defeat to Munster, has also been included despite Rory Best returning to the squad.

Best is one of a number of international players, including Andrew Trimble, Iain Henderson and Ruan Pienaar, who are available after missing the league trip to Thomond Park.

Tickets for both of Ulster’s forthcoming home games against the Scarlets and Glasgow Warriors (Friday, January 11) are now very limited and only behind the goal posts are available. Please note this area is restricted viewing and not suitable for children.

ULSTER Squad (v Scarlets) – Backs (11): Paul Marshall, Michael Heaney, Ruan Pienaar, Paddy Jackson, Luke Marshall, Paddy Wallace, Darren Cave, Craig Gilroy, Andrew Trimble, Jared Payne, Adam D’Arcy.

Forwards (15): Rob Herring, Rory Best, Niall Annett, Callum Black, Tom Court, John Afoa, Adam Macklin, Lewis Stevenson, Neil McComb, Dan Tuohy, Iain Henderson, Robbie Diack, Chris Henry, Nick Williams, Roger Wilson.
