IRFU Announce New Director Of Communications

The Irish Rugby Football Union is pleased to announce the appointment of Stephen McNamara to the newly created role of Director of Communications.

Stephen McNamara is joining the IRFU from Ryanair, where he has been Director of Communications since 2008.

The appointment reflects an expanded role for the IRFU’s Communications Department, beyond its current remit, to encompass communications with government bodies, public representatives and the provinces, while continuing to manage communications with clubs, supporters, representative teams and Women’s rugby.
