Ulster Lose Doyle To Fibula Injury

Ulster back rower Sean Doyle has been ruled out for up to six weeks after sustaining an undisplaced fracture of his fibula during his debut outing for Dungannon ast Saturday.

Sean Doyle joined the province in the summer and has played in three RaboDirect PRO12 games so far this season.

The Australian-born openside flanker, who is Irish-qualified, was making his debut for Dungannon in Saturday’s Ulster Bank League clash with Dublin University when he damaged his fibula.

Meanwhile, Doyle’s back row colleague Nick Williams continues to be assessed for the rib injury he suffered in last Friday’s derby victory over Connacht at Ravenhill.

The New Zealander, one of the try scorers on the night, was forced off with five minutes remaining in the 25-0 win.
