Ulster Memorial Service ‘To Celebrate’ Nevin’s Life And Rugby Career

Ulster Rugby’s memorial service for Nevin Spence will be held at Ravenhill on Sunday at 3pm. It is open to everyone and aims to celebrate the life and sporting career of one of Ulster’s most talented and committed players.

Ulster Rugby chaplain, Reverend Andrew Thompson, will lead the service, while members of the Ulster squad will also be involved.

Ulster Rugby wishes to thank the very many people who have come to Ravenhill in recent days and who have left flowers, shirts, flags and cards in memory of Nevin Spence, his father Noel and brother Graham.

Any expressions of sympathy that have been placed at the ground will be carefully gathered following Sunday’s memorial service and given to the Spence family.

Those wishing to sign the book of condolence will be able to do so in the Ravenhill offices following the service. The book of condolence will also be presented to the Spence family.

The gates of Ravenhill rugby ground will be open from 2pm on Sunday, but no parking will be available inside the stadium.

Complimentary Park ’n’ Ride facilities will be located at Pirrie Park on the Ravenhill side of the ground, and along Montgomery Road, on the Mount Merrion side.

Ulster Rugby wishes to thank those who have suggested possible permanent tributes to Nevin, his father Noel and brother Graham. Any decision on a lasting memorial will be made in full consultation with the Spence family.
