Club Open Days In Leinster

Leinster Rugby is hosting a series of coordinated Club Open Days throughout the province mainly on 7th, 8th and 9th of September 2012.

Each club’s open day will showcase club rugby’s social and sporting side, encouraging those who would like to get involved from a coaching, playing, supporting or volunteering level to join in with their local club.

With over 20 clubs confirmed participation; the day itself will welcome both visitors old and new and at all age levels. Events can range from barbeques, garden fetes, entertainment, to tag and tip rugby competitions.

Looking ahead to this year’s Club Open Days, Leinster Domestic Rugby Manager Philip Lawlor commented, “We’re hoping for a big attendance across Leinster in each club to help kick off the new season and encourage interest in rugby.

“Every club’s success is down to the support of its players, club volunteers and match supporters and we hope to grow that support across Leinster with our open days.”
